For years now SHRec (Southern Hills Community Recreation Initiative) has been working toward the goal of a recreation facility in the Hot Springs, SD area. Many spaces and properties around town have been explored.

The SHRec Winter Gymnastics Program has been operating since 2016. The Hot Springs School District graciously allows the use of their equipment which helps us keep costs to the community lower.

SHRec partnered with the City of Hot Springs to hold Pickleball Clinics at various times throughout the year. These clinics encourage ongoing Pickleball playing.

SHRec has offered a tennis clinic in the Fall for several years. The clinic teaches youth and adults the basics of tennis. Students learn proper form, foot work, the basic strokes and grips, terminology, and tennis etiquette.
